the ojibwe of minnesota

According to the stories handed down through the generations by the Ojibwe people, their home long ago was “on the shores of the great salt water, toward the rising sun” that is on the Atlantic Ocean. Through the centuries they moved westward- up the St. Lawrence River,  then  along  the Great lakes, finally reaching Lake Superior and the land that would become Minnesota.
