Create a Classroom Winter Count

The Lakota Winter Count was used to record the significant history of a particular community.  It used images instead of words to represent a single important or unusual event that year.  A tribal historian was appointed to be the official recorder and keeper of the winter count.  The events that were recorded was decided by consensus.
